Here is the comic I did for the Center for Cartoon Studies visiting artist collection, which includes doodles and drawings by some of the esteemed visitors they’ve had over the past few years.
Yesterday I gave my presentation to the school, and it was pretty amazing to feel the swell of comics energy and interest that radiated from the students.
It’s always so fascinating and weird to revisit places from our past. When I went to school here, I used to joke that this little old train village seemed like a ghost town, with its sparse populace, old-timey buildings and looming pine trees. It’s interesting to think about the ghosts of ourselves that we leave behind.
This town did NOT have a coffeehouse when I lived here, and I’m SUPER JEALOUS of it. The town has changed a lot in five years, but much is still the same. The typewriter repair shop, for example, STILL OPEN. HOW. WHY. WHAT.
